• Has learned, lived and worked in Bristol since 1965
• Has saved and transformed much of Bristol’s heritage
• Improved children’s lives through Adventure Play
• Created and improved social housing across Bristol
• Led regeneration in South Bristol with Tobacco Factory
• Revived brewing in Bristol, boosting the local economy
• Created visions for Bristol, including the Brunel Mile
• Has made contributions to arts and youth provision
• Has featured Bristol on national radio broadcasts and TV
• Promoted Bristol & UK across the world as RIBA President
• Awarded honorary degrees by UWE and Univ of Bristol
• Appointed a CBE in 2010 for services to the community
